Gallery 1: Scenic Highway 14

Highway 14, a 40 mile scenic byway, ascends from Cedar City (elev. 5800) through Cedar Canyon, crests at 11,000 ft, and descends the eastern slope to connect with Highway 89 in Long Valley (elev. 7400). It makes a trail along streams and multi-colored mountains and through aspens, evergreens, ancient lava rock and alpine wildflowers. There are many pullouts where one can park, hike, take photos and set up an easel.
